DUPLICATE SITE
OPTIMIZED FOR MOBILE DEVICES
We will create a version of your site that is optimized for mobile devices such as
cell phones and PDAs. The site’s URL will be
http://www.yourcompany.com/mobile With
today’s proliferation of cell phones, PDAs and other mobile devices, you need your site to be readable and
optimized for readability and functionality on all of these type devices. To ensure the readability, we lay out the mobile site differently
than the main site. Each “section” of your site (header,
navigation area, main content, footer, etc) is laid out vertically in a 320 maximum width for ease of
viewing. All images are replaced with links to those
images. This enhances readability and load times. Mobile devices
usually have limited browsers with limited bandwidth. Therefore,
we also reduce the mobile site to a simple black text over a white background and also set all links to
blue-underscore style (instantly recognizable as a link) for maximum clarity. We also put links on each and every page to carry the user back to the main
site should a non-mobile browser reach the mobile site. Basically we create and maintain for you a complete
secondary site, complimentary to your original site, updated along side of your original site, but optimized
for today’s mobile devices.
